The Boeing 737-800 is one in a series of Boeing airliners called the Next Generation series, commonly abbreviated as 737NG. It is the third generation derivative of the 737, and comes after the 737 Classic (?300/-400/-500) series, which began production in the 1980s. These airplanes are designed for short to medium flights and are narrow-body jets.

As of May 2017, a total of 7,121 737NG aircraft have been ordered, of which 6,388 have been delivered. The main competition to the 737NG's is the Airbus A320 family. Boeing are currently upgraded and remodelling the 737NG series, and their newest airplane will be called the 737 MAX.

The 737-800 seats 162 passengers in a two-class layout, or 189 in one class, and competes with the A320.

This flight simulator is the first of its type in Cyprus. It is a near-exact replica of the real Boeing 737-800, built to 100% scale, with all the instrumentation featured. We also have a working intercom system for all cockpit occupants to be able speak to each other, and a radio system to communicate with air traffic control!

You will be the captain in charge of the cockpit, and under the instruction of your First Officer, you can complete a full city-to-city flight following real life procedures and protocols. As soon as you step into the flight deck, you will be immersed in the accurate replica of instrumentation throughout, and the stunning scenery through the windows at the front. You will quickly forget that you are not in a real airplane.

You will taxi the airplane down the taxiway, turning onto the active runway. When cleared to takeoff, you will push the throttles forward, keep the plane on the runway, and gently pull back on the yoke as the aircraft leaves the ground.
